Cosmetic manufacturers literally fight for the heads of their consumers, inventing new ways to wash their hair. Not so long ago, conventional shampoos and conditioners were replaced by products without sulfates and parabens. The beauty industry did not stop there. Today, heads are washed with shampoo in the form of bars, smeared with a thick cream in the shower or sprayed with a powder effect over the entire length.

Solid: "I'm not soap, I'm shampoo!"

One of the first shampoos in the form of solid bars and washers was launched by Cosmetics To Go. When its founders puzzled over the name for the product, one of them, Mo Constantine, came to his son Jack for a clue. He asked: "Come up with a name for our new product." To which the son replied: "I am not soap, I am Jack!" No sooner said than done. Subsequently, all the sticks were wrapped in foil with the name INASIA. This abbreviation stands for "I'm not a soap, I'm a shampoo bar" ("I'm not soap, I'm shampoo").

Solid shampoos are available in the form of bars and washers, are compact in size, do not contain water, stabilizers, thickeners or preservatives. They contain a maximum of natural components (various oils, plant extracts, healing mud), for which these shampoos are appreciated.

The effect of foaming in solid shampoos is achieved thanks to sodium cocosulfate - a gentle surfactant from coconut oil. This substance, unlike sodium lauryl sulfate, gently cleanses the hair without destroying their structure and without harming the scalp.

Solid shampoos, like regular liquid shampoos, are for dry, normal and oily hair, as well as for damaged and weakened. By action, they can be moisturizing, regenerating, smoothing, nourishing, stimulating hair growth.

On average, one bar withstands more than 50 soapings. How to use: wet your head. Brush a hair through the hair until a foam appears or rub the shampoo with wet hands. Massage your scalp and hair like you do with regular shampoo. Rinse off the foam thoroughly and be sure to apply conditioner.

Nuance: if you often use an iron, curling iron or dye your hair, do not switch to a solid shampoo - you risk overdrying your hair. But for owners of oily hair type, this remedy is perfect.

Dry: no water or foam

Many people treat dry shampoo with a prejudice: how can you wash your hair without water and foam? These doubts are not groundless. Do not expect perfect cleansing from dry shampoo. After using it, the hair is unlikely to become as clean, soft and shiny as after washing with ordinary shampoo.

It’s rather a “rescue” for special occasions: during trips, long flights, business trips, for use after training, before an unexpected date, or when you overslept, and a business meeting in an hour.

Nuance: dry shampoo can only cope with natural pollution. Rinse off varnishes, gels, socks and other styling products without his strength. So if at night you greased your hair with oil or poured half a bottle of varnish on your head, you still have to go to the shower and soap the head.

Low-shampoo: 3 in 1

Low translates from low to English. This annotation means that the shampoo does not contain aggressive surfactants that can turn hair into straw.

Remember, coaching was recently in fashion - washing hair with conditioner? Shampoos with the prefix low combine the properties of a conditioner, mask and shampoo itself. Aggressive surfactants in their formulas are replaced by caring and protective phyto extracts.

They do not wash "before the creak", and, nevertheless, the hair after washing will look like after a good mask: smooth, moisturized and easy to comb. In addition, low-shamun has an antistatic effect, is able to tame naughty curls and moisturize well-dried hair. But for oily hair, such a treatment is unlikely to be liked - at least as a shampoo for frequent use.

The Golden Mean is to use it once a week as an additional care.

How to use: by consistency, low-shampoo is a cream that almost does not foam, so you need to get used to the new format.

Nuance: but compared with the classic shampoo, low-funds will need more, so some brands prudently release them in large-capacity containers.
