Radio day
On the date considered by us, employees of all communication sectors in Russia celebrate their professional celebration - Radio Day. The information boom that has overtaken us is, first of all, the result of the hard and painstaking work of many inventors, who, at the cost of their own health, worked for the good of the future of humanity, for the sake of children, grandchildren and you and me. How can the present world be imagined without all this? Hardly! Therefore, Radio Day implies a broader focus, that is, this day can be safely called the holiday of all employees not only of broadcasting, but also of television, mobile communications, signalmen, mailers, radio amateurs and all those who are related to the communications industry.
The event is timed to coincide with a special day when the outstanding Russian physicist-inventor A. Popov in 1895 at a meeting of the physicochemical community demonstrated a wireless radio system designed by him, designed for the information exchange of parties located at a far distance from each other. It seems that just recently, an outstanding inventor tried to “subdue” electromagnetic waves, transforming them into human speech. When this nevertheless happened, people considered this phenomenon as a miracle, and today we perceive the widespread communication system as an integral element of everyday life, as a matter of course.
Armed Forces Day in Russia
In 1992, by decree of the President of Russia, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was organized. The modern structure of the Armed Forces of Russia includes three main types: the air force, the ground forces, the navy; as well as three types of troops: Missile, Space, Airborne; other Russian troops that are not members of the Armed Forces, but play a huge role in ensuring state security. The close-knit system of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation makes it possible to increase the combat effectiveness of the country and ensure its overall stability and security. On May 7, employees of the listed troops celebrate a professional holiday, referred to in the Russian calendar as the Day of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

On May 7, the people honor the memory of the blessed Eusebius (Eusebius) of Nicodemides, who lived in the fourth century and who suffered martyrdom for believing in Christ at the hands of the Emperor Diocletian - the most furious, perhaps, in the history of the persecutor and exterminator of Christians.
The peasants in Russia claimed that on Evseev day incredible fatigue “sticks” to everyone and people literally “bend to the ground”. In order to drive away the misfortune, the peasants went to church, communed, prayed, and necessarily washed themselves with holy water. It was also good to lie down on the reviving and blossoming greens in order to recharge energy from Mother Earth. By this day, the sowing of oats was already completed. By the way, it was necessary to sow it in a certain place and at a strictly allotted time, regardless of soil conditions and established weather. However, there were some exceptions to the rule. For example, sowing oats was also allowed during periods of blooming birch, the appearance of winged ants or the loss of willow fluff.
By the presence of mosquitoes, the people judged about the future harvest: if there was no day off insects on Eusebee, then the harvest in autumn will be especially notable, and vice versa. It was also believed that after May 7, several frosty days alternating one after another were established on the street.

May 7, 1755 - Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) solemnly opened its doors
Moscow State University is considered one of the oldest surviving universities in the Russian Federation. It was designed by the talented mind of the first Russian academician M. Lomonosov. After the project of this educational institution was presented to the ruling Elizabeth at that time, she immediately signed an order on the foundation of the university. Its grand opening for educational purposes took place on May 7, 1755, on the day of the anniversary of the coronation of Her Majesty. In accordance with the idea of Lomonosov, three faculties were formed in the building: legal, medical and philosophical. Each school day began with a study of philosophy, which helped students to get the basis for the subsequent study of the natural sciences and the humanities. At the end of the 18th century, the educational institution finally moved to Mokhovaya.

The content of this document was printed by all newspapers of the Soviet Union. The all-Union slogan of a large-scale anti-alcohol company, which all citizens of the USSR pledged to follow, was the words "Sobriety - the norm of life." The action was supported by a sharp jump in prices for alcoholic beverages, as well as its significant reduction in sales. Vodka was sold on special coupons. The decision of the Council of Ministers caused widespread discontent among the people. Radical measures led to very dangerous consequences - many began to buy alcohol illegally, despite the mechanism of their production and quality. This, of course, led to mass poisoning.
All distilleries were forced to convert into non-alcoholic companies. This resulted in massive financial consequences, the level of speculation and theft jumped. Due to losses in the production of alcoholic beverages, the Soviet Union lost more than twenty billion rubles. Then a new time came into effect - the abolition of the state monopoly on the sale of alcohol. Gradually, the anti-alcohol "war" completely came to naught.

Francis Beaufort (1774 - 1857) - a famous English sailor who stood out in history thanks to the development of a 12-point scale of wind power. After a serious wound in 1812, he left the naval service and got a hydrograph at the Admiralty. In 1838, his scale was adopted everywhere, and, a few years later, Beaufort was awarded the title of rear admiral. The inventor named the sea in the Arctic Ocean.
Peter Tchaikovsky (1840 - 1893) - Russian composer, musical public figure, teacher and conductor, author of six famous symphonies. The premiere of the last symphony, where he conducted, took place just a few days before the death of the composer.
Nikolay Zabolotsky (1903 - 1958) - a talented poet and translator. He owns translations of many poems (Shota Rustaveli "The Knight in the Tiger Skin"), as well as various works of Georgian and German classics, the famous poem "The Word about Igor's Campaign" and much more.
Igor Bezrodny (1930 - 1997) - Soviet violinist, music teacher, conductor. People's Artist of the RSFSR. Since 1948 he was a soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic. A year later, speaking at a competition in Prague, he won the first prize. His children also preferred to connect their lives with music - the boy became a pianist, and the girl became a talented violinist.
