It is unlikely that any of us have tried shawarma: crispy, but soft pita is so tasty combined in a juicy filling that such fast food I want to immediately start tasting with just one look at him!

By the way, there are so many varieties of shawarma that everyone will find for himself exactly the one that turns out to be the best for him to taste.

The only drawback of such nutrition is that we do not know exactly which products were used in the preparation of shawarma, how fresh they were and what sanitary conditions were observed. In order not to risk their health and the health of their loved ones - Prepare pita bread with fillings at home! It is not difficult at all and you will be surprised at how easy it is to create pita with a recipe.

Ingredients for 6 servings:

Dough:

- 1 tbsp. boiling water;

- 1.5-2 Art. wheat flour;

- 0.5 tsp. salts;

- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil (optional).

Filling:

- Fresh greens to choose from;

- 300 g boiled or roasted meat;

- 3 tbsp. mayonnaise;

-3 tbsp. ketchup;

- 3 tbsp pesto sauce or any other;

- black pepper and mustard - on request;

- Korean carrot, cabbage, french fries - on request.

Those who love dough without fat or adheres to a healthy way of eating, you can not include vegetable or olive oil in the list of ingredients, but with it the dough becomes more plastic and soft. Pour the oil into the container and add salt to it.

Pour in 1 tbsp. boiling water.

Pour 1 tbsp. wheat flour and immediately begin to fork the entire contents of the container. Do not use the whisk - it will not withstand the pressure of the thick dough.

Add flour as needed and knead the dough. Round it into a bun and give 15 minutes to rest. During this time, the gluten will start to act and the dough will become soft and pliable, and besides, it will also cool down a bit. This method of mixing is called "brewed", as the flour is simply steamed in boiling water.

As soon as the specified time passes, divide the dough into 7-8 parts and roll each of them into a thin layer, making the working surface flour. It is not necessary to adhere to a strict round shape, but if you like everything in order, then simply place a plate on the layer of dough and cut the pita bread according to it - a great circle will come out!

Heat the pan without oil and place a circle of dough on it. Bake on each side for 1-2 minutes until rosy tan, and then spread on dosochku or plate. So bake all the pita breads.

Be sure to soak a towel or handkerchief in water and cover the finished dough products with it so that they do not dry out, otherwise you will not be able to roll them again.

Then put one pita on the plate. Place greens of your choice, boiled or fried meat on its edge. Add ketchup and mayonnaise, various sauces and snacks, for example: Korean carrots, cabbage salad, beets, etc.

I use duck breast in the recipe.

Wrap the pita in any way convenient for you and proceed to tasting it - insanely tasty and appetizing! Such food your home will eat with pleasure!

Apart from the carrots in Korean and other salads, 6 servings of pita bread with meat, sauces and herbs stand 135 rubles, and 1 portion - 22-25 rubles. This is the lowest price for such a delicious dish!
