For the first time I froze whole beans, in their raw form, I lost the desire for a long time to have something in common with her, I used them only in their raw form, adding to vegetable soup, and, perhaps, that's all. That bean was stiff, and it still needed to be boiled, and only then added somewhere.

But one day, when I came to visit my friend, and she is obsessed with a healthy lifestyle, and she cooks only homemade food - she treated me to an omelet with green beans. It was overwhelmingly delicious, but since it was early spring outside, the beans were clearly frozen. Of course, I clarified whether it was purchased. And I heard a proud statement that she has everything homemade, and the beans are the same.

After that, I rewrote the recipe and for two years now I have been freezing beans, the recipe is a bit troublesome, but the result will exceed all your expectations.

Time for preparing - 20 minutes

Servings Per Container - 1

Ingredients:

  • Beans
  • Water
  • Ice

Cooking String Beans to Freeze:

The most important thing is to choose high-quality beans. It must be very soft so that it can be cut with a fingernail. The size of the beans is minimal, they are not larger than rice grains. The pod breaks easily with one finger.

Trim the edges of the pod. There are solid, not edible ponytails.

Cut into small cubes, the length of which is 3-4 cm.

We put them in boiling water, salt at will and cook for 3-4 minutes.

We filter and fill it with very cold water. Add ice for speedy cooling. This preparation for freezing greatly affects the taste of the beans.

As soon as the pods become cold - filter them through a sieve or colander and give time to drain water.

We lay it out on a tray covered with a towel or paper so that the pods become completely dry. As such, it can send frozen.

After 3-4 hours, transfer to bags for long-term storage with special fasteners. They are denser than normal and will not tear in the freezer.

Store all winter in the freezer, use in soups, omelets, vegetable stews and salads.

This will greatly diversify your diet in winter, which is especially true if you want to become slim.

But if you think that this is only a diet dish - you are mistaken. It will be delicious to fry in oil with garlic, the recipe is tasty, but high-calorie. Also add beef stew with beans - it will be tasty and satisfying.
