One of the most famous and beloved dishes that came from Georgian cuisine is khachapuri. In almost every store with pastries, you can buy this cheese cake, and enjoy its taste with pleasure. But we will tell you that to cook khachapuri with cheese and herbs or without, you can easily cook at home in a pan or in the oven. It is not at all difficult and time-consuming and productive.

There are a lot of options for khachapuri recipes, mainly the difference concerns the filling. In the original recipe I use suluguni cheese and feta cheese. But in the city, such cheeses are not always available. But cottage cheese and any hard cheese can be bought at the store closest to the house. The dough will be cooked on kefir.

Ingredients:

Kefir - 1 tbsp.

Flour - 2.5 - 3 tbsp.

Salt - ½ teaspoon

Cottage cheese - 400 g

Hard cheese - 150 g

Butter - 100 g

Soda - 1 tsp

Recipe:

First of all, we’ll get kefir from the refrigerator. It must be warmed to room temperature. Add soda and salt to kefir. Mix well. In this case, there is no need to extinguish the soda

Melt the butter and add to the kefir.

Add the flour gradually and knead the dough.

Leave the dough to rest while preparing the filling.

In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, grated hard cheese and butter. Mix thoroughly so that the mass becomes homogeneous.

Divide the dough into 6-8 parts. Each piece is rolled into a thin cake.

Put the filling in the center of the tortillas.

We pinch the edges collecting them in the center, according to the principle of a bag.

Now we roll the bag into a cake 5-7 mm thick.

Fry khachapuri in a pan for 5 minutes on each side over low heat.

The most delicious khachapuri when hot.
