For a whole year we live, work and do all sorts of routine tasks. But with the approach of the New Year, without a doubt the most popular holiday in the world, we are all waiting for a miracle - I so want to change the world and ourselves for the better. The smell of a living Christmas tree, tangerines, delicious dishes, fireworks, New Year's costumes and children's laughter: all these are irreplaceable attributes of everyone's favorite holiday.

What is it worth preparing for it, which unites all relatives and close people. And, of course, we want to celebrate the New Year in a fun, bright, unforgettable way. And here it is important where to celebrate this holiday and with whom to share it. The information portal "Women's Opinion" decided to find out from the residents of Russia where they plan to celebrate the New Year. The results are eloquent.

82.2% of Russians said with confidence that they plan to celebrate the New Year at home, with their family. For these people, the New Year is associated with childhood: anticipation of a miracle, waiting for Santa Claus, long-awaited gifts, decorating an apartment with snowflakes and garlands, drawing up a New Year’s menu and much more. And the most important thing for them is an excuse to believe that the bad will remain in the old year, an excuse to believe in the best, that everything will be different, everything will change.

Some (6.1%) of the respondents intend to celebrate the New Year at a party. "Either we are friends or they are ours." In any case, they expect to celebrate this holiday, too, surrounded by their family, just not at home.

5% of respondents want to spend the New Year on a tourist trip. This category consists mainly of young people who do not understand why they should stay at home if there are so many new and interesting things in the world.

At the festivities, 4.9% of respondents plan to celebrate the New Year. For these people, the New Year is movement, music, dancing, fun, champagne, sparklers and new acquaintances.

Only 1.8% of respondents celebrate this holiday in restaurants. It is interesting that this percentage of people don’t like restaurant cooking and other people’s surroundings, simply for objective reasons: the husband insisted or friends invited, they are forced to go to the restaurant to celebrate the New Year.

As you can see, today, Russians choose the most comfortable and quiet way to celebrate the New Year - in the circle of their family. In fact, the secret to a successful and happy celebration is to have time to congratulate all your dearest and beloved people. And, of course, do not forget that every night everyone is waiting for a miracle, because the New Year is the best holiday of the year, and let everyone celebrate it as best as possible in order to lay a successful start for the next 365 days!
The survey involved 1830 people from 129 cities of Russia aged 20 to 45 years.
