The rest of the mentors of the television project - Dima Bilan, Alexander Gradsky and Leonid Agutin, hearing his voice, did not turn around, giving the lady the opportunity to enjoy the timbre of the 27-year-old performer. Pelagia did not hide the sympathy that arose instantly and took Dmitry to her team. Note that even then some viewers noticed: Sorochenkov is very similar in appearance to the former husband of the singer Dmitry Efimovich.
With her further behavior, Pelagia showed that her sympathy was noticeably enhanced. In subsequent releases of “Voices,” she, contrary to the expectations of her colleagues and viewers, continues to leave Dmitry in the project. For example, Alexander Gradsky called Sorochenkov's vocal data weak and noted that Pelageya drove out participants with more worthy voices from the project.
Dmitry himself admitted that he does not have a musical education and singing for him is just an extra income for his main job in the Internet field.
In an interview with one of the Siberian portals, he honestly admitted that he was very glad that the first audition was "blind" and the mentors could not see how he was dressed. “I don’t even have a good shirt,” Dmitry said. “For Kuzbass, my appearance would be quite normal, but not for the capital. Therefore, I think I need to reconsider my wardrobe.”
