Metrosexuality, which is becoming more and more fashionable, is harmful to health. Researchers at the Boston Children's Hospital came to these results. As it turned out, young people, more and more concerned about their appearance and weight, resort to various unsafe drugs, which often leads to drunkenness and depression.

A study of 5.5 thousand teenage boys showed that about 18% of them are very concerned about their physical fitness, 9.2% are very interested in building muscles, 2.5% are interested in slimness, and 6.3% are at the same time volume, and in another.

The data found that young people, worried about the problem of pumping up biceps, took hormones and steroids, which are known to affect their growth, as a result, they became regular consumers of alcohol and took drugs. Adolescents, preoccupied with their weight, often showed symptoms of depression.

2.9% of the respondents had complete or partial digestion, 1/3 of the study participants reported periodic overeating, followed by forced cleansing of the body, for example, using artificially induced vomiting.

Such behavior in adolescent boys is akin to the type of behavior in girls who are preoccupied with the harmony of their figure, leading subsequently to anorexia and prolonged depression.
